As we all know, purchasing good quality hair is an investment and depending on how you care for your extensions will depend on how long they last. Here are a few FAQ's that may help you with the maintenance of your BOSS Hair Collection extensions..
Q: What shampoo/conditioner would you recommend?
A: I use the same shampoo and conditioner on my extensions that I use on my natural hair, I often switch it but there are a few that I would recommend; Biosilk & Tressemme on all textures of hair. With SASSY Straight extensions I always recommend Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy. With any type of wave or curl I use Organix Coconut Curls or Shea Moisture (or your favorite NATURAL shampoo/conditioner)
Q: How do you maintain curly/Wavy hair at night?
A: Apply a leave in conditioner of your choice, braid or 2 strand twist your hair until the ends and secure it with an hair band (NO rubber bands) and always, always, ALWAYS protect your hair with a silk scarf and/or bonnet.
Q: My curls/wave seem to have gotten looser what can I do to get them back?
A: Co wash extensions (washing your hair with conditioner only) apply your favorite leave in that caters to curly and/or Wavy hair, always braid the hair up at night. Using flexi rods help as well. Some curly hair extensions are really high maintence, it is imperative that you moisturize it daily & keep extensions detangled. It is normal for hair extensions to lose wave pattern if you constantly apply heat to the hair or if you have used any chemicals on the hair. Hopefully these tips will help you.
It is always key to use a heat protectant spray or serum before applying ANY heat to your hair to protect the extensions from heat damage. If you decide to color your extensions understand that they will need a little bit more TLC. Shampooing and conditioning hair atleast 1-2 weeks at a time will keep your BOSS Hair Collection extensions in good standing!
